Education Exchange Programs
It’s a small world, and so we need to seek out new ways to connect with our neighbors around the globe. International study and cross-cultural programs are the best way to expand our understanding of different cultures. Whether it is at the individual or community level, Laurasian Institution has a number of programs to fit your needs.
Strengthen your Japanese Language Program
Learning about Japan and Japanese is more meaningful when it’s taught by a team: an experienced U.S.-based teacher and a young, native speaker who brings contemporary language and culture into classrooms. J-LEAP provides a Japanese language Assistant Teacher to strengthen U.S. schools’ Japanese programs.
Infuse Japanese Culture into your Organization
Sharing the fascinating culture of Japan in areas where it isn’t readily available, the Japanese Outreach Initiative (JOI) brings native Japanese Coordinators to nonprofit and educational organizations in the U.S. to conduct engaging cultural outreach activities and presentations for groups of all ages.
Incorporate Study Travel into your Curriculum
By focusing on a particular theme they choose, students and teachers who participate in New Perspectives gain in-depth knowledge of a particular element of Japanese culture while stateside, followed by a two-week visit to Japan that reinforces their studies.
